Zehra Doğan opens the 14th edition of the Festival of Excellence for Women at the Teatro della Corte in Genoa on Friday 16 October. The Kurdish artist and journalist persecuted and imprisoned in Turkey is a symbol in the world of resistance and the battle for rights and will receive on this occasion the Hypatia Prize for International Women's Excellence.
