"It was the summer of 1958 and Orson Welles, Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward were traversing the glowing earth of their feelings in the thick heat of the days and nights of the American Deep South. Their senses amplified and alerted. Life slid on a surreal plane where anything could happen, as it always does in summer. The film directed by Martin Ritt is where the show originated, voices, music, song, speech, noise, everything here tells of summer. A few minutes to alert the senses and restore, beyond the gaze and the habit of watching and reading, a season that has inspired art, literature, film and music.
The exhibition unravels in non-deputed places in the museum, passages and areas not reserved for the display of works. Sound installations are to be sought out and scouted, and in listening, each environment proves to be a space for art."
