"Since its establishment in the late 16th century, the Accademia di San Luca has been conceived as a sodality of artists and architects that, on its own autonomy and independence, has built its prestige and charisma. To this day, the Academy works out its own path based on the exclusive will of the artists, architects and historians that make it up," says Marco Tirelli. "It is in this light, and it is precisely the case to use this expression, that we must understand this exhibition, which has no pretension to offer an exhaustive overview of what is happening in contemporary art today, but certainly can be understood as a stage in a path of investigation that will continue over time”.

The exhibition project has involved fifteen curators – from different generations and heterogeneous critical backgrounds, among the most attentive and recognized, even at international level, with experience gained in curating exhibitions at public and private institutions - in the aim of returning a diversified and multifaceted cross-section of the contemporary art scene, paying special attention to most recent researches.

As part of the exhibition, the performance cycle Archetipi curated by Bartolomeo Pietromarchi will be held in the Salone d'Onore of Palazzo Carpegna.
