Andreas Zampella, Laurel Hauge, and Edson Luli are the winners of the second edition of the International Award Giovan Battista Calapai e Theodora van Mierlo Benedetti. The ceremony took place on September 11th in the charming spaces of the Mons. Luigi Di Liegro Conference Hall at Palazzo Valentini in Rome. Dedicated to the artistic research of authors under 35, the award is promoted by A-HEAD Project – Angelo Azzurro ONLUS and is dedicated to the memory of Giovan Battista Calapai and Theodora van Mierlo Benedetti, two influential figures in the development of the connection between the non-profit organization dedicated to the fight against the stigma of mental disorders and the art sector, leading to the birth of the A-HEAD project.
[...] Edson Luli, born in Shkodër, Albania, lives and works in Milan: his work focuses on the complex interaction between ontology and epistemology. Luli's practice explores the relationship between the observer and the observed, questioning the ways in which our perceptions and experiences are shaped by language and culture.
